Having tried hundreds of civil jury trials to conclusion, Jim Mescall’s skill and experience obtaining just verdicts for his injured clients. With a notable career spanning over four decades, he has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney since 1996, reflecting his unwavering dedication to providing exceptional legal representation to our clients in civil trial matters. Only approximately 2% of all attorneys in the State of New Jersey are approved by the Supreme Court as certified trial attorneys.  Additionally, Jim has argued before the Supreme Court – see him in action here:

In addition to his trial expertise, Jim has served as an arbitrator for the Superior Court of New Jersey since 1995, serving the Superior Court by evaluating cases brought before the Court by other attorneys. This role has allowed him to contribute to the fair and efficient resolution of legal disputes, further honing his skills as a legal professional, while giving back to the legal community. He was also appointed as a Victims’ Rights Attorney by the 9/11 Fund. This appointment permitted him to advocate for the rights and interests of victims during their time of need. His career has been geared toward ensuring the victims he represents receive the support and compensation they deserve.

In his spare time, Jim serves as a Board Member of the Market Street Mission.  The Market Street Mission is a  Christian mission based in Morristown, New Jersey. The organization operates a homeless shelter and provides meals, emergency services, drug addiction recovery groups and community counseling.

Throughout Jim’s career, he has consistently demonstrated a deep passion for justice and a relentless drive to secure favorable outcomes for his clients. He approaches each case with a meticulous attention to detail, strategic thinking, and with compassion, striving to make a positive difference in the lives of those he represents.

MAXIMILIAN J. MESCALL, ESQ.

Maximilian “Max” Mescall is an attorney at Mescall Law, PC specializing in personal injury and workers’ compensation, with extensive experience in New Jersey’s state and federal court systems. He has tried cases before the Superior Court of New Jersey, obtained reversals in the Appellate Division, argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court, and has handled matters in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Max received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he earned honors in brief writing and oral advocacy as a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Team and served on the Editorial Board of the Seton Hall Law Review. He was selected for the inaugural class of the Seton Hall Law Leadership Fellowship and later returned as an Executive Mentor for the program. Prior to entering private practice, he served as a Judicial Intern for Chief Justice Stuart Rabner of the New Jersey Supreme Court and as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Scott J. Moynihan of the Appellate Division.

Max remains active in the New Jersey legal community. He serves as Secretary of the Brennan-Vanderbilt Inn of Court, a Director of the Solo and Small Firm Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and Co-Chairman of the Essex County Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm Section. He was selected as a Fellow of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s 2024-2025 Leadership Academy and subsequently appointed to the State Bar’s Judicial Administration Committee.

Jeff is often the first person that you will meet with at Mescall Law to discuss your case. While he is not an attorney, he has had extensive experience handling claims as both an insurance adjuster and a personal injury claims manager. Shortly after graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson, Jeff got his first job working as an adjuster for Liberty Mutual. He obtained valuable insights into how insurance companies evaluate claims, from liability to injuries. With over 40 years of experience assisting with personal injury matters, he knows how to help our attorneys build a firm foundation for your case.
